1 bedroom Farm stay
Our farm is on 14 hectares just on the outskirts of the town of Watervale. Penobscot Farm Cottage is an 1860’s rustic 1 bedroom cottage. It is very private looking out over the hillside and ridge. Light provisions are provided in the cottage. A complementary breakfast will be provided daily at the Watervale General Store.Â

Penobscot Farm is part of a larger tourism group operated by owners Nicola and Warrick. The Farm is their home. They also operate the Award-winning Watervale Hotel, open 11am - 9pm and the Watervale General Store Open 7.30am - 6pm Daily. Our lovely staff are therefore accessible to help with any questions, travel recommendation's or bookings most of each day.

We encourage guests to spend time in the Watervale Hotel & the Watervale General Store & Providore.Â
Guests staying at Penobscot Farm Cottage will have a number of privileges.
- We can do dine and stay packages.
- Guests receive priority booking privileges for the Hotel’s private dining rooms. These include the ‘Hell Hole’, and old Jail built in 1868.
- Guests can book tours of our organic and biodynamic Penobscot Farm.
- We can prepare set menu’s designed around the preferences of guests, including wine pairing.
- Sit outside in the beer garden, or along the veranda bar looking across at the Watervale Hotel’s Kitchen Garden.
- By prior arrangement we can organise Bike hire & in-house Massage.Â

You will be encouraged to hear, see, smell, feel and taste your way through the farm as you learn about organic, bio-dynamic and permaculture farming. Dinner will be a 6 course degustation at the Hotel.

Teach me, Feed me
Learn why Clare Valley wines are so special by attending an 11am Wine Masterclass in the Watervale Hotel featuring back-vintage wines from Wendouree, Grosset and Kilikanoon.
Then enjoy a 12 noon Feed me lunch.
