We have several stunning natural places for your ceremony.

Penobscot Farm offers a number of suitable venues among the orchard, farm and gardens.

Quelltaler Winery has sensational venues, among vines, olives or on the lawns. If the weather is less than perfect we can create a natural indoor venue adjacent to the dining space.

We can also organise a venue associated with one of the accommodation alternatives. Stanley Grammar, Hughes Park, and Battunga all offer beautiful sites and can be a partner to your event.

We could also utilise space at your favourite winery as part of a wedding beverage package.

The Watervale Hotel sources fresh produce from Penobscot Farm and other local producers. You taste the difference nature provides. Chef Nicola Palmer’s role is to enhance the natural flavours and to ensure everyone is delighted with the cuisine. We can tailor everything to make your dream day a reality. The Watervale Hotel is partnered with virtually every winery in the Clare Valley so we can create a wine list to suit your preferences and budget.

The historic Quelltaler Winery is a cluster of alternative indoor or outside wedding venues to suit a variety of guest numbers or style of events.

The Shearing Shed at Penobscot is more rustic and down to earth. Ideal for a country wedding. Being adjacent to our organic, bio-dynamic farm also sets the scene for those who appreciate fresh produce.

The Watervale Hotel beer garden and jail terrace provides a very different environment. Guests will be entertained by food theatre looking through into the kitchen and adjacent to the ‘Fires of Hell’ barbecue.

Alternatively we can cater a wedding event at another location of your choice.

Weddings are often not just one day but a ‘three day event’.

The Watervale Hotel can co-ordinate the entire event to ensure that the bride and groom can spend quality time with guests that have traveled long distances, and these guests experience all we have to offer.

Wedding weekends can start with a casual event at the Watervale Hotel on Friday night, if appropriate with special guests catered for in a private room whilst others arrive and meet casually at their leisure.

The Saturday is all about the wedding, the photographs and the celebration dinner at Quelltaler or in the Shearing Shed.

We find that offering a venue for a recovery party on the Sunday rounds out the perfect wedding weekend. This could be a casual Sunday Roast affair – perhaps a whole beast and vegetables cooked on the asado barbecue in the beer garden.
