In Kitchen Dining – The Chef’s Table

We have limited seating available for in-Kitchen Dining, so pre-bookings for the ‘Tasting Menu’ at the Chef’s Table are essential. Members of the Watervale Epicurean Society have priority booking status. Whilst the ‘a la carte’ menu is not available at the Chefs Table, we will accommodate dietary issues, allergies, intolerance and preferences.  

The opportunity to eat in the Kitchen on the bar is a cooking demonstration in itself, and the Chefs Table Degustation dining experience makes it truly amazing. Our talkative Chef’s love to explain what they are putting on your plate, how it has been made, and even tricks of the trade.  

Tasting Menu –  PermaCuisine Degustation Dining

Permaculture is the ethical basis to the way we grow produce at Penobscot Farm. PermaCuisine is the result of taking these same ethics and our organic bio-dynamic produce into the kitchen. It implies not only ethical sourcing, but a genuine style of cuisine, and a no waste approach to using everything that comes into the kitchen.

Our Tasting Menu is a seasonal produce degustation lunch or dinner at the in-kitchen dining bar, or elsewhere in the Hotel.

Cooking Demonstrations – to commence in 2021

The farm produce is the hero in our pre-lunch cooking demonstrations. The kitchen will select a few ingredients picked that day and show the versatility of that ingredient by preparing it in different ways.

Cooking Classes – running in February 2021.

The Watervale Hotel will commence half day Cooking Classes in 2021. It is anticipated that they will be preceded by a Penobscot Farm Tour and focus on how to enhance flavours of fresh produce.

These will be promoted on our Facebook site and appear on the experiences calendar on our website.

Watervale Epicurean Society Members will receive invitations prior to these events being advertised, so if you want to lodge interest in these courses please join us.
