Ethical Epicurean Experiences

The Watervale Hotel offers epicurean experiences, and three different menu styles to suit every occasion.

We offer our a la carte menu from 11am to 9pm every day. We require 24 hours notice for Farm Tours, Degustation Dining, and Group Feasts.

Group Feasts

Our premier experience is the Six Senses Penobscot Farm Tour followed by  a Six Course individually plated Degustation dinner. 

Each course can be matched to Clare Valley Wines or farm produce Mocktails.

$275 / head all inclusive.

Our degustation menu is a 6 course journey of individually plated gourmet delights featuring seasonal produce from Penobscot Farm and the other beautiful produce of our region. $110 / head.

Each course can be matched to Clare Valley Wines or farm produce Mocktails for an additional $65/head.

We recommend shared-plate feasts for group bookings.

Our Farm Feast features vegetables from Penobscot Farm, Lamb from Martindale Farm and Greenslade’s free-range chicken for $60 / head.

Our Gourmet Feast is not only more courses but a step up to dishes such as ceviche, carpaccio and tomahawk steak for $90 /head. 

We can match wines to either Feast format. 

A La Carte

Our farm fresh to plate ‘a la carte’ menu features fresh organic produce from Penobscot, and other local Farms. 

There is an ever-changing selection of small and larger plates, all designed to be shared. 

The role of our Chefs is to enhance and enrich the authentic and natural flavours of our local farms.

Our extensive wine and beverage list unashamedly promotes Clare Valley products.

We offer a Wine Flight experience every evening that can be booked between 5 and 7pm for $40 / head including stuffed olives. This features four wines selected to celebrate the diversity of Clare Valley Terroir.

Cooking classes

Commencing in September 2021. Our Chefs will lead a range of cooking demonstrations and classes at Penobscot Farm and the Watervale Hotel.

We look forward to opening the Chef’s Table dining experience when COVID restrictions are lifted.
